For more than 90 years the family business of Wood Bros has been specializing in the design and manufacture of quality furniture from their base in Ware in Hertfordshire, where it has been since the foundation stone was laid in 1952.
Wood Bros is famous for its Old Charm traditional collection, which was first introduced in the early 1950s.
Design is at the heart of this company and it continues to evolve its cabinet and sofa collection in style and function to match today’s living.
The popular Tudor influenced designs are depicted throughout the large Old Charm Collection and offer a wide choice of dining, living and home office furniture.
This choice extends to a large and varied fabric collection while the fine detail featuring intricate hand carving, authentic bespoke fittings and hand soldered leaded lights provide the feel of the period while remaining relevant in today’s lifestyle.
Colours include traditional Tudor Brown, Light Oak and Vintage, through to Fumed Oat, which gives Old Charm a more contemporary flavour.
The Chatsworth Collection sees the extensions of Old Charm into a more classic and unembellished style that reflects the informality of the architectural English ‘country manor’. What is lacks in adornment it makes up for in character shown through the knotty oak, turned legs and plain beaded panels.
Chatsworth is available in Flaxen, an authentic light yet mellow colour, highlighted by extensive softening and darkening rubs which add definition, suggesting centuries of use.
Hand forged metal handles and discrete hinges are used as door furniture and to enhance the collection’s simple lines.
A selection of dining fabrics are available that complement the collection.
